1. Basics of Copying and Pasting

Copying and Pasting Fields: In Pixel Perfect Reports, you can copy and paste various elements such as fields, texts, textfields, images, imagefields,...etc.. To copy an element:

Select the Field: Click on the object you want to copy. Hold down the Ctrl key and click to select multiple objects. You can also click the 'Select' button on the left toolbar to put the designer into selection mode and drag out a selection rectangle on the canvas to include the objects you want to multiselect.

Copy: Right-click on the selected object(s) and choose Copy, or press Ctrl+C.

Paste: Mouse down on the canvas and right click.  Select Paste, or press Ctrl+V.

Relocate: Move the object(s) to the desired location.

Copying and Pasting Lists: In Pixel Perfect Reports, you can copy and paste a composite element such as a list. A composite element is an element that contains other elements. Pixel Perfect Reports support copying and pasting of nested composite element of any level. Meaning if a list contains other elements including list, and those list also contain other element including list and so on, Pixel Perfect Reports will support copying and pasting of that list. To copy a list:

Select the List: Click on the list you want to copy to select the list.

Copy: Right-click on the list and choose Copy, or press Ctrl+C.

Paste: Mouse down on the canvas and right click.  Select Paste, or press Ctrl+V.

Relocate: Move the list to the desired location.

2. Managing Layouts and Formatting

Consistency in Design: Copying and pasting is not only about replicating data but also about maintaining a consistent design. When you copy a formatted text object, chart or list, the formatting is preserved, which helps in maintaining a uniform appearance across your reports.

Aligning Pasted Elements: After pasting, you will need to align or adjust the placement of the copied elements.
